Tiger Nomads Armies

The Tiger Nomads (in their own language, known as Chakyik) spend their time alternatively fighting the Wegwiur to the east or the Ekbiris to the south. They are mostly nomadic, with a few settlements which bear the trappings of civilization. The core of the Tiger Nomads’ society is, however, their magnificent cavalry. As of CY 578, the Chakyik could field the following force when their clans were called to battle:

• 8,500 light cavalry with lances

• 6,500 light cavalry with lances and short bows

• 2,000 medium cavalry with lances, wearing splinted mail

In addition, the capital (and only) city of Yecha is garrisoned by a small force of some 1,200 foot, armed with bows and swords.

The fierce warriors of the Chakyik people are best represented by Mongol miniatures.
