Galda
Galda trees bear a refreshing, if salty, nutritious cone-shaped fruit. In the spring the fruit is whitish, but it matures to a golden hue. Its seeds are high in protein. The bark of the galda tree is yellowish and its leaves are yellow-green. The trees grow about 30 feet in height.
Distilled Galda oil is produced from the Galda trees in the Cairn Hills and made into an extract used in oil lamps and burns almost 50% longer than most other normal oils. It is also used in cooking for meat glazes and baking pastries.
