The March of Mareman is presided over by the Margrave Ketrodorn MacLoren II (of the Neheli line). This province has enjoyed a quiet history, having little to do with the politics of Niole Dra or even their surrounding neighbors. The town of Regin is the only point of obvious interest in the March, but a significant amount of commerce does pass through on its way to the busier parts of the kingdom.

During the giant invasion of Geoff, there was a notable incident in the region's history. A horde of euroz (orc) barbarians laid siege to the town of Regin for nearly a fortnight before being driven back westward.
