Personality: He is happy with his job as a Spice Merchant. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. The war was a terrible time for him, and Roland does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.
History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. Like his mother and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Spice Merchant. He tends to his Spice Merchant job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he has money and likes to spend it
