Dreamers
When the Dwarves of Stehlenwald began their isolation, they dug deep into their mountain. At the heart of the mountain, they discovered a long dead civilization and its members frozen in stasis. These ancient peoples had forseen calamity, and came up with a plan to survive. Suspended in reality and sealed deep underground, they slept until the disaster passed.
Upon waking, they discovered the sleep had altered their minds. They could no longer discern between dreams and memories, both fading quickly from their minds. This resulted in a new race with no knowledge of its own history. Now they struggle to adapt to the new world. Whatever their history, they have proven to be quick witted and strong, learning new skills with vigor. The place they truly feel at home is in dreams, often dozing off for short periods of time.
