Elves

The elves of Etharis are another of the Elder Races of Etharis. The elves took to the forests, building grand cities beneath their leaves. While their earliest history is lost, they claimed the forests and river lands of what would become The Chernault Kingdom as their home. These archers and warriors took to the woodlands for training their armies, becoming reclusive and wary of other races.
The Era of Expansion cost them dearly. Their kingdoms were destroyed, and many forests cut down for the humans greed. While their armies were well trained, the humans vastly outnumbered the elves and an unstoppable wave swept over them. Afterwords, the elves lived as nomads and tried to hide on the outskirts of civilization. Through their grief, they rebuilt their magnificent cities and ballads of sorrow. They turned to nature magics to protect their cities, befriending the forest spirits who bestowed them with their magic to restore and destroy.
