Gnomes

Gnomes, thought to be distant cousins of Dwarves, are a small framed people. They had many settlements across Etharis, but they were wiped out during the Era of Expansion. They sought shelter with the Dwarves of The Rockteeth Mountains, using their wits to defend their neighbors. The Gnomes forced the Dwarves to dig deeper for new metals, leading to the discovery of adamantine.
The alchemists and engineers worked to create new weapons of war. Using the gifts of the mountains, they discovered Blackpowder Weapons and along with the dwarves, pushed the humans from their home. As the dust settled and the gnomes counted their losses, they joined the dwarves in isolation. The gnomes joined The Burach Empire with the Dwarves, using the trade of Etharis to gain access to new materials for their scientific exploits.
