Halflings

As most races fought the humans during the Era of Expansion, the halfing of Etharis chose to step aside for the humans for survival. As the humans ravaged Etharis, halflings remained silent to the carnage. As the humans settled into their various nations, the halflings fit in perfectly, acquiring positions as librarians, bookkeepers, teachers, and scholars.
Shorter and weaker than dwarves, halflings are a peaceful race. What halflings want most is a place to settle, a home away from war. They enjoy good food, good company, and a good laugh. They do not shun adventuring, tales of halfing rogues and scholars abound. They do not hoard jewels and goals; instead gathering lore to build libraries for various topics. They grow through the generations, gaining knowledge on everything from cooking to brewing, bee keeping, and more.
