Rint

Beloved Akanni Dosou (a.k.a. Rint)

Akanni Dosou-Eya, typically called Rint, is the adopted daughter of Tunji, her birthparents are unknown. She is proximately 25 years old when she is first introduced in the Griot's Song stories.

Appearance and Character

Rint is albino, having pale skin and long dreadlocks the color of a pale gold with pink-red eyes. She is large but graceful and quick. During the day she usually seen outside covered in a veiled garment that protected her skin from the sun. She is often consider solemn and guarded due to society's belief of albinos and her time growing up in the imperial orphanages. She often rolls her tongue around in her mouth when nervous. An extremely capable fighter, she prefers her spear rather than the wide-headed swords most Lions prefer. She is extremely observant which serves her when she's working with her uncle and Chief, Tunde. She has a fear of heights and experiences vertigo.

History

As a baby her parents gave her up to the Imperial Orphanages, possibly due to the cultural beliefs about albinos. She was given the nickname Rint at the orphanage due to her size but also being the youngest of her group.

She's the youngest but not quite a runt. More like a Rint.

She entered the ranks of the Imperial Ten Thousand and fought all over Exum, primarily in the Bone Coast Region in the country's Lands of the Northern Pillar , fighting raiders from the Seven Sultanates . She was later adopted by her commander, Tunji, who was an albino himself. She believes that she is at fault for Tunji's death due to her fear of heights and veritigo which she still struggles with. She delivered his body to Dosuland where she first met Tunde who subsequently took her under his wing, after the helping the defend Dosou cattle from the Djinka Tribe, where after Tunde named her Lion of the Dosou-Eya Tribe.
