Balwen

Noted as "Fallen Angels", these creatures of the afterlife are more-so getting a redemption, or second chance at life. They tend to have a secondary, more beastly form, mainly from human myths such as dragon-turtles and enfields. Otherwise they are seen as humanoids with glowing, colored halos and wings, with said wings being feathered. Due to each angel having a different beast form and color of halo and wings, they are separated into different categories, and such, only the angel form has been documented of general.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Balwens are humanoid in all of their structure normally, looking almost 1 to 1 on the average, healthy human being. However, they still do have their halos, in which a ring of pure light floats above their head with a color akin to their related "element." They also have their wings, which tend to be half their size and covered in feathers which also have a color corresponding to their element, similar to their halo. Again, their beast forms are unable to be documented due to each Balwen having a different beast form from one Balwen to another.

Genetics and Reproduction

The species does not reproduce as far as any research has resulted.

Growth Rate & Stages

Balwen have a rather short growth time. Upon resurrection from their god or goddess, they live two to five years as a child, another three for adolescent, and for as long as they live, adulthood.

Ecology and Habitats

There doesn't seem to be one place specific for Balwens, though some people believe they should be put to rest as the living world is not for them.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Balwens mostly just need some sort of liquid, normally water, depending on the type of Balwen. Those more attuned with fire might need a bit more spice while those attuned to dark might just need a lot of food dye. Aside from that, they don't need to eat, and eating actual food normally makes them ill.

Additional Information

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

They have the same perception as normal human beings, although their sight may be a tad heightened.

Civilization and Culture

Naming Traditions

Balwens tend to have names given to them by their god or goddess through resurrection. Nobody can really explain the schemes, but most Balwens claim that "they've known it since birth" and "it relates to their magic."

Gender Ideals

There is only male and female.

Courtship Ideals

They don't normally court, and if they do, they follow and mimic other species' ideals of this if they have hung around said species' territory.

Relationship Ideals

Balwens rarely have relationships, and even more rare so with anyone other than a Balwen, if they manage to find any Balwen in the first place. However, they aren't completely against it, rather, they just can't normally afford to. With being solo nomadic beings, they can't exactly find love, and if they do, they normally either travel with said partner. Along with that, if they are able to attain a relationship, it may not last long in general, seeing as every Balwen needs to do a certain thing to rest peacefully, and being in a relationship may just be all they need.

Average Technological Level

They don't quite need technology at all, as their body is well equipped for almost anything. However, given that they've never settled down enough to found even a village, most find Balwen to be the lowest as far as technology goes.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

They are able to speak Oefaty , the supposed language of the gods, but also they tend to be able to speak the language of whichever sapient creature is closest upon their 'arrival' to Gry.

Common Dress Code

No known dress code, aside from travelers' clothes that they normally attempt to gain from others.

History

Nobody really knows when, where, or even how Balwens came to be. They just started to appear randomly, and although many places have begun to see them more as bad, they haven't really caused or done any notable evil as a whole. They don't even really have a set country, and each Balwen has their own story. Rarely are they known to travel and settle, as most Balwen are, again, generally disliked. With this, none have been able to truly create a country or even city for themselves, and instead travel to find answers for themselves over others.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

They tend to have a slight fear to other species if anything, as most tend to dislike Balwen. However, they aren't aggressive, and won't fight unless provoked by others.
