Frosynthesis

The synthetization of frost, whether it be ice or snow. Instead of using the sun and absorbing the rays, it instead absorbs nutrients normally carried around by the ice, snow, and wind. Whichever plants or animals tend to thrive in the cold. The snow and ice don't normally melt when around creatures that use it, but there are rare occasions that it does.

Manifestation

There isn't a visual difference of when Frosynthesis occurs, and if it rarely does, it is seen in the melting of snow and ice around said creature.

Localization

It is normally in cold regions, especially regions that get snow and hail.
