Magic Exhaustion
Causes
Overuse of magic-- draining one's internal reserves.
Symptoms
Fever, severe weakness, fatigue, nausea, in more severe cases the subject may cough up blood, or have it dripping from various orifaces in their face (eyes, ears, etc).
Treatment
For more mild cases, resting for a while is enough. For more severe cases, swift medical intervention in the form of a healer or magic replenishing potions/medications are required in addition to rest.
Prognosis
If one continues to expend magic that they don't have, they will most likely perish.
Affected Groups
Any being that uses magic-- and even some that don't, if they are affected by some type of object that drains magic.
Prevention
Refraining from using magic excessively, or ceasing to use magic when their reserves are dwindling.
Cultural Reception
It depends on what the subject did to drain their reserves so far. If it was, for example, a magic student that carelessly practiced advanced magic without supervision would be considered foolish, but a warrior that depleted their reserves in battle would be treated with respect.
