The Pohonbesar

Structure

There is very little defined structure to the pohonbesar tribe. The elders of the tribe take turns being cheif and make decisions by consulting with every adult gnome in their tribe. There is a long list of all the elders and each of them serves fo 10 years before passing the role onto the next elder. The chief does not have the power to command any gnome individually, but rather manages and organizes the discussions through which the real decisions of the tribe are made. Very often these decisions take a long time to be made, which is not a concern to the gnomes because of their long lifetimes.

Culture

The pohonbesar value community above all else. This sense of community extends to include all races and the trees and plants of the world. A pohobian wil always choose to do what they believe is best for the world as a whole and will generally consult with his compatriots before taking any major action.
