Dabloon Statue of Shark God

The Dabloon Statue of Shark God (Dabloon Statue for short) was created in 384 PC in rejection of the Octus currency and in honor of Shark God. The statue is about ten feet tall, six feet wide, and eighteen feet long. It is made of solid gold from melted Dabloons and located in Loving Embrace. The Dabloon Statue is made up of about 947,369 Dabloons.

The statue was created by Janice J Janet, a revolutionary imprisoned in Gyllis. Janice received two minutes in the Box as punishment and the Committee Commitee member who complained about the statue being a misuse of funds received one hour. The Dabloon Statue is a beloved landmark for the people of Gyllis. It is an unofficial location for citizens of Gyllis to celebrate the glory of Shark God, even though it is not a temple or shrine. The statue is thought to be a prime location to contemplate one’s true self and personal change in the name of Shark God. It is also a common meeting place for individuals who are going to a secondary location together because it is located in such a central location.

The Dabloon Statue is widely considered to be Shark God’s triumph over material possessions and the false order imposed by Octus. The statue is a symbol of breaking the societal mold through the action of rebirth. Rebirth which is only possible through the loving embrace of Shark God. New arrivals in Gyllis are encouraged to visit the statue to ponder how they too may break the mold and be reborn as their true selves through Shark God.
