Ethyl Gyllis (Ethel Gill-us)
Name: Ethyl Gyllis
Alias: Ethyl P Gyllis
Gender: Female (she/her)
Age: 71
Crime: Chemical warfare, murder, conspiracy, tax evasion
Octus Occupation: Chemist
Physical description: 4’11 with green streaked white hair, green pupiless eyes, and six gill slits on either side of her neck. Lean build and thick, gray shark-like skin.
Biographical Information:
Ethyl Gyllis is a descendant of Fredrick M. Gyllis. She worked as a chemist in Octus’s research labs until 598 PC when she was convicted of tax evasion. After being convicted, Ethyl committed a series of brutal acts of chemical warfare against the government of Octus, killing 26 people. Ethyl was then sentenced to Gyllis for her crimes.
In Gyllis, Ethyl joined the Murder Committee and served until 615 PC. She then retired to the Welcoming Committee. Within the Welcoming Committee, Ethyl pioneered a new technique of welcoming newcomers to Gyllis. This technique is called Threat of Chemical Violence (TCV). Ethyl learned that simply confining newcomers to the Welcoming Committee house until they accepted the rules and culture of Gyllis was a mere 67% effective. However with TCV, Ethyl has been able to increase the Welcoming Committee success rate to 98%. This has dramatically decreased the Murder Committee’s workload.
In her personal life, Ethyl is a member of the Knitting Committee and a lecturer on chemistry for the Special Interest Committee. She also enjoys purposely antagonizing the Committee Committee, her unwilling neighbors, which has earned her a combined 213 hours in the box and 18 marriage proposals.
