The Fysh Market

The Fysh Market is the main trading center of Gyllis. Stalls intertwine with small buildings to create rows of trading stations. The market is organized by type of trade item, foods, goods, and services. The food is at the entrance to the market and has 10-20 booths on average of various food items. Hot foods such as sea taters and burritos are common, as well as beverages such as coffee and hot chocolate depending on the time of day. Colder foods and shelf stable items take up most of the food booths because of the low supply of fresh foods from Octus and the other domes. Beyond the food stalls there is a larger building for a sort of grocery store where most of the fresh ingredients and common spices are available for trade. Following food the market shifts towards goods produced by the residents of Gyllis. The number of stalls varies with availability of goods but is usually around 40-50 stalls. Wood workers and smaller artisans take up most of the stalls, with a few buildings of materials and hardware for people to gather their own supplies. In this area it can take a lot of “shopping around” to find the stall you are looking for or the specific supply one needs for a project, but most items can be found if one gives it enough time. Services are the final stalls. Residents will normally offer smaller services such as massages or portraits for on demand trades, however larger services are commonly found. Renovation services and matchmakers are larger services that usually take specialty orders and trades.
