The Gyllis House
The Gyllis House was commissioned in 386 PC by Fredrick M. Gyllis when he was sent to Gyllis for tax evasion and possession of WMDs. The house is located in Gyllis Town next to the Committee Committee building. This was a conscious decision by Fredrick. He loathed the system that he created and vowed to be a thorn in their side for the rest of his life.
The Gyllis House was built in the style of Gyllis, specifically taking inspiration from Fungia fungites. It is two stories tall with a rounded and irregular shape. The outer walls have deep vertical grooves that reflect the coral inspiration for the house. It is also pink in the valleys of the grooves and yellow on the ridges. There are six large textured stained glass windows that mirror the look of the rest of the house. The Gyllis house only has one outside door. The door looks like a large branch of Elkhorn coral protruding from the rest of the house with smaller branches that form the door handle and postage slot.
The Gyllis House is a two bedroom, two bath home with an eat-in kitchen and a room-y living room. This has made it the ideal space for the current owner, Ethyl P Gyllis, to host Welcoming Committee meetings and functions. The Gyllis House has been the meeting place for several different committees since its construction. These committees include the Welcoming Committee, Knitting Committee, Census Committee, Architectural Committee, Special Committee, Creature Committee, and Fungus Committee. The Gyllis House has been passed between generations of Gyllises within the dome and its long history within committees reflects the many different individuals who have called the Gyllis House home.
