It is rumored that Wizard Authorides refusal to include flavor profiles in his Great Codex of Halcyon led directly to Witch Blanch Spatchcock penning the Gastronomicon. With each revision Authorides made to his Codex, to include new species discovered on Halcyon, Spatchcock would expand her Gastronomicon to include a matching recipe. As a result of Authorides' accurate research, and the unnatural deliciousness of Spatchcock's recipes, their feud has led to the systematic extinction of 30 rare magical species.
