Phlogiston Battery

A battery powered by concentrated Phlogiston. It is used to produce heat and flame. The shape is suggestive of a modern propane tank, although it is manufactured out of medieval and magical components, so that they are very reminiscent of wooden barrels. Most phlogiston batteries are large enough that they must be transported individually by a push cart. Transport is costly, in large part due to the long distances between urban centers and the phlogiston distributor, which is typically embedded within a dense complexes of active volcanoes.
