Whispers

Whispers are creatures from beyond the Flare, drawn towards violence, rage, and madness. These are soul-devouring creatures that operate by driving their prey to give into their most base, violent desires so that the Whispers can feast on the humanity that they abandon. They cannot create feelings of rage and aggression in people; only amplify that which is already present.

Dietary Needs and Habits

It feasts on the souls of sapient beings, devouring what makes them human until only a monstrous shell of their former self remains.

Humans who have had their souls completely devoured by Whispers are exceedingly violent and have no regard for others or themselves. They typically die within an hour of the last bit of their soul being eaten, often by violent means by their own hand.
