The Country of Cohari
Overview
The country of Cohari is said to be one of the oldest countries in the world dating back to the beginning of creation. The people of Cohari believe that plants are responsible for the success and survival of fauna and the ancestries alike (Fey and human). Without plants, the world would cease to exist. As such, plants are revered and treated with great respect. Cohorts worship plant gods and the plants are the gods' gifts to the ancestries. Notable deities in the Coharian pantheon are as follows:Structure
The country's power system is divided into two: a religious aspect and a plutocracy.
Assets
Cohari is most notably known for its exports of plant materials, usually in the form of herbs and spices for consumption in food or potion making. They are also known for plant-based materials like dyes, pigments for make up, etc. There is something to be said for the quality of their exports; reports (with no concrete evidence) that Coharian spices and herbs leave individuals feeling more connected to the land around them for a short time. One such report tells of a person being able to hear plants speak to them.
History
Cohari has on-and-off disputes with neighboring countries regarding the treatment of the land, and most importantly, the plants - attempting to send goodwill ambassadors to educate. Most of it has been for naught; other countries view Cohari as being a country full of gullible lunatics. The once-mighty nation of Cohari is a fraction of what it used to be due to wars and skirmishes.
There are remnants of Coharian temples located all over the world. Such remnants suggest the continents of the world were once unified or there was an exploration period by early Cohorts; evidence is still being gathered to this day to decipher the true nature of these temples. Cohorts believe many of their gods roam outside of their country's borders.
Agriculture & Industry
Cohari can be considered an agricultural power.
