Azalen Language
The Azalen language group is a mutually intelligible group of languages from West Izekra and has been catapulted to trade language status by the Kingdom of Asalay. It is used across Izekra and the central tropics as a trade language, synonymous with wealth and prestige. Coastal cities across Izekra have been known to use mix Azalen names with their own (often with a spin of local pronunciation), and Azalen is studied by any mercenary who hopes to become an adventurer in the golden city of Asalay.
Gender is whatever. Names are often tweaked by families for aesthetic purposes. Names relating to luxury items are intended as comparisons of value - saying a child is precious or will be precious.
Generally speaking, Azalen is a mashup of Kurdish and Tagalog. While these are linguistically mulched beyond most recognition, you could probably dabble a bit in either Kurdish or Tagalog in a pinch.
