Calazan Language

Calazan is an old and conservative language tied deeply to the Empire of Calazen and used across the center of Inahng. Surrounding this official imperial dialect is a swirling cloud of mutually intelligible local dialects, making it as much a group of languages as a singular one. The imperial dialect carries with it a sense of finesse and institutional power, while the many peripheral dialects tend to be tied to lower classes, but intent carries pretty well across dialects regardless.   Calazen has long dominated the culture of Inahng, and its language and names have spread along with its influence. Calazan names and phrases can be found all across the continent, and merchants tend to learn the imperial dialect as a matter of trade.

How to Generate Calazan

Calazan is generally made by smashing together Egyptian and Tibetan. Ancient Egyptian names fit fairly well, but you can bring in modern Arabic Egyptian for the mashup (as long as you avoid whole-cloth inclusion of religious-cultural names such as Muhammad or Ali). If Tibetan is not accessible, Nepali should be available through google translate.
