Horn of Ishkibal
The Horn of Ishkibal is a legendary artifact of Ishkibism. It appears to be an ordinary ram-bone warhorn of ancient Desmian make, but it cannot be destroyed by any known means. When it is blown, its sound is carried supernaturally far - a full 2 miles in the worst conditions and 10 or more miles in great conditions.
If blown during a time of war or conflict, all who hear it can speak fluently across all language barriers for five hours. If a negotiation is begun during this time, the speakers can understand each other's languages for as long as their negotiations last.
In areas where the horn is held, this makes for some intricate peacetime rituals. For example, merchants fighting, having the horn be blown, and then entering endless negotiations in order to freely cross language barriers. This has been crucial for the commercial and missionary successes of Ishkibism, and for the easy communication of groups in Izekra and Ukaram.
Currently, the Horn is held in the Eastern Izekran kingdom of Alareth, though it is frequently carried East by its holy guardians to facilitate negotiations in Ukaram.
