Zalkaran Language

Zalkaran is a group of mutually intelligible languages spoken across the continent of Ekraht. The language group has traveled around the continent (and beyond) through its long history, but generally it is associated with the horse nomads and mercenaries of the Southern plains of Zalkara. The plains and the more arid flatlands of Eastern Ekraht speak Zalkaran as a primary language as well.    While Zalkaran is not a dominant trade language and is largely retreating in use from the Zeruan languages, dialects of Zalkaran are still commonly used between mercenaries. Even mercenaries from other parts of the continent often learn bits of Zalkaran to talk with other mercenaries and impress employers (who expect Zalkaran as aesthetic proof of their soldier's quality).
