She traveled across Garadel adventuring and sometimes plundering. She is a legend across Garadel and Larazel, and her tendency to bury or hide treasure hoards gave her story an obsessive following. She also attracted a great deal of attention to Loanua, shattering the fragile peace there
While having always been used by certain Sonevan aquatic groups, thawing of Garadek-Sonevan underwater relations finally allowed for Sonevan aquatic technologies to spread: notably voiceboxes and mustard gas. The infamous Pangolin pirate is perhaps the most famous criminal in Garadek history. After selling forged religious artifacts to the Zihari Holy League, she was able to kidnap the League's Heirophant and hold him for ransom. The ensuing negotiations led to the deaths of several forge-lords and merchant-princes, and Miza was forced to flee to distant Loanua. There, she founded the Kamalean Pirate Republic and eventually became a paladin of Emesh.
After many victories over imperialist and the grey priesthood alike, the New Blues of Weniko embraced their anti-foreign militarism with a new image: Red Weniko.
Named after "rooting soil", the Rooting era was predicted to be a time of degradation and decay, cut off from the world- and possible an era of diminished Prism dominance. Neither has occurred, but Garadel has gone back to developing many of its own social structures and there is less of a perceived need to be like Samvara or Sonev.
The Law of Masks was a way of closing off Zesheko from foreign influence and forever marked Zesheko communities apart from the rest of the world. Associated with the 1620 to 1810 period of Closed Imperial Zeshema, the Masks have not come off even as trade as re-opened.
