When we first meet Elwin, he is roaming Ofay, selling his abilities as a mage to make enough money to sail to Calliste to find his sister. Being reunited with the twin they separated him from is his main objected but he has a secondary object once he finds her. He has found out from his Uncle Adamek that their father was a foundling and may have been part of a bigger calling, The Guardians of the Gates. He’s hoping that by traveling to Calliste, he can see his parents and meet up with Sabrina to find out more about The Guardians.
