Haukri Dento
The Haukri Dento has governed the teachings of Haukri for over 600 years. The name means the "council of Haukri tradition". The various councilors and department heads are in charge of preserving the various traditions of Haukrism, enforcing the laws and interpreting the Seraphim Chronicle . The Haukri Dento is primarily located in Hathrun Empire and is very involved in their government. However, they have some shrines across the entire continent of Thrail
Origins
Near the end of the Age of Demons, followers of Haukri began to more formally organize. There was a collection of eight military generals, known as the Vanguard, who fought in this conflict, each serving Haukri in different ways. These generals decided to elect a head councilor to unify the various traditions of each Vanguard's followers. Each Vanguard was also assigned the duty of recording the beliefs of their followers, delegating this task to one of their trusted advisors. These recorders became the first Haukua Sacorum and Hauk Sentorum.Leadership
- The Haukua Sacorum: The chief priest and highest authority in interpreting the word of Haukri.
- Hauk Sentorum - Department heads: reside over a major shrine. Usually, several Hauk priests report to them
- Hak Bashaba: regional officer: resides over a lesser shrine.
- Hak-Sor - typical priest serving at a Hauktum Sora.
- Hak. A priest apprenticing under a Hak-Sor, or a group may be working under a Hak Bashaba.
- Akiri - a soldier of the dento. They serve as guards at the various shrines and sometimes also as the local police force. They typically report to a Hak Bashaba or any hauk of higher rank. However, an Akiri will typically respect any Hak as a voice of Haukri unless their desires contradict the voice of their direct superior. Akiri are at the bottom of the hierarchy and all officials must start in this position. It's typically quite undesirable, there is little opportunity to gain glory in battle.
Shrines
- Sanctum Delubrum: Meaning "place of the holy one." This serves as the offices of the Hauk Sacorum and is located in the capital.
- Hauktum Senakri - Greater Shrines: There are eight greater shrines across the empire, one in each great house's territory. These shrines are dedicated to specific ideals of Haukrism and are typically extremely ornate. Each great house is judged on how well they lavish this building.
- Hauktum Basha - Lesser Shrines: These shrines are located throughout the empire. Major cities usually have 3-5 lesser shrines, while smaller cities typically have 1-2. They are dedicated to specific people important to the faith, specific objects, or smaller ideals.
- Hauktum Sora: An outdoor temple common in more rural communities. These shrines can be outdoor amphitheaters made of stone or wood and can range from ornate to very unadorned. They usually contain one small building or tent staffed by a single Dento member. Here, members can hear teachings, receive blessings, or seek wisdom.
