Mythology & Lore

The Varathi believe that it was Haukri, not Alu, who first saw the potential for a world where honor and valor could flourish. In his divine wisdom, Haukri envisioned a grand arena where the virtues of bravery and strength could be tested and celebrated. To create such a world, he needed a place purged of chaos and evil.   Haukri descended into the heart of the chaos, wielding his mighty sword, Andurak, forged from the essence of pure courage. With each swing, he cleaved through the demonic hordes of Usos, scattering them into the void. His battles raged for eons, with each victory pushing back the darkness and carving out a space for his vision to take form. When the final destruction was imminent, he chose the Varathi to save and brought them to the world which he called Hauvarath.   Haukri then breathed life into the Varathi, imbuing them with his own attributes of courage, strength, nobility, and wisdom. He set them upon Hauvarath with a divine mandate: to uphold honor, protect the weak, and ensure that the world remained free from the taint of demons. The Varathi, guided by Haukri's teachings, embarked on a grand campaign to cleanse the remaining pockets of demonic corruption and to establish their dominion.   Their victories were many, and their deeds became the stuff of legend. Under Haukri's watchful gaze, the Varathi built mighty fortresses and noble cities, their society flourishing as a beacon of strength and honor. They crafted great epics celebrating their god and their heroic ancestors, firmly embedding the belief that Haukri alone created and sanctified their world.   The Varathi reject the notion that Alu or any other deity played a role in the creation of Varathor. To them, the idea that the world was a collaborative creation diminishes the heroism and divine authority of Haukri. Their mythology holds that the ring-shaped world is a testament to Haukri's unparalleled courage and strength, a monument to the noble warrior spirit that he instilled in his people. Only after they cleansed it did the other races arrive to fill its valleys and hills.
