    History

The Festival was first celebrated in the wake of harsh winters and lean planting seasons, where farmers would beg the God Taro for his blessing on the land, offering him anything in return for allowing them to live, and to cultivate a promising future for themselves and the land.   The Festival moved from a Fall celebration to the end of Winter near the reign of the 7th great King of Halvishlan. Who had the celebration moved to the brirthday of the recently deceased High King’s birthday - his father - to honor him. In which the festival became an annual event instead of at the whim of nature.   It is now the largest holiday celebrated in winter, all across Halvishlan.
