God of the Great Tree

Of all the God's worshiped in Halvishlan, Uni is at the forefront. Not only because of the Connection to the Great Tree, but also because of the legends detail how magic came to be at the very moment the Great Tree sprouted into existence. Due to the prominance of the Great Tree in the lives of the people of Halvishlan, most are drawn to worship Uni.
Devote Worshipers of Uni belong to “The Great Religion” aka "The Church of Unity."
Even if a person is not specifically religious, it is likely that they pay some devotional nods now and then to Uni. Even if only at festivals or religious holidays. The religion of your ancestors is very likely to be Uni.

Uni has on occasion gifted some unique individuals who he deems worthy a portion of deific power. These Paladin's were the first Hallerin Guard. Though many of the Guard were not Gifted such bestowals of divine magic, or forged oaths, they became a sect of holy Warriors who protect the church, it's people and most importantly the Great Tree. They're skilled and tend to be lythe and strong bonded magic users, a portion of thier bonded magic is enhanced while highly in tune with the Great Tree, and Uni himself.
The Path to becomeing a Hallerin Guard is not for everyone, and those who tend to join are highly religious and have on many occasion been seen as disruptions to the peace or a briefer of authority by the Church of Unity. Though they single-handedly were considered the most effective and loyal to any god, the Hallerin have on occasion been neglected or rejected by Uni through the many years.
