Oldscutt River

The Oldscutt is a slow moving river flowing from the northern mountains until it merges with the Churnett. The river is fed mostly by thawing snow, so the river is almost always cold, and is prone to flooding in the spring, although this is been solved by the creation of the Log dam built by the Carman Family, which created The Eelhold. Since then, the only major flooding occurred 17 years ago, when the dam broke, and flooded much of the area near the Lyrchwood.
