Thalendyr is made up of 12 Distinct Duchies. They are, in order of their founding:   Valeria: The oldest and most influential duchy, home to the grand capital city and the seat of the royal family.   Eldoria: A picturesque duchy renowned for its enchanting forests and mystical creatures, deeply connected to elven heritage.   Alderford: A prosperous duchy known for its fertile farmlands and skilled agricultural practices, feeding the kingdom.   Ironhold: A rugged and industrious duchy known for its iron mines, forging formidable weapons and armors.   Stormhaven: A coastal duchy facing the tempestuous seas, where skilled sailors and traders thrive.   Frostwatch: A northern duchy that endures harsh winters, housing resilient communities and strategic defense fortifications.   Embermoor: A duchy with vast expanses of moorlands and peat bogs, rich in natural resources and known for peat harvesting.   Silverlake: A duchy blessed with numerous serene lakes, renowned for its thriving fishing industry and picturesque landscapes.   Stonehelm: A mountainous duchy known for its towering peaks, skilled miners, and precious gemstone deposits.   Havenreach: A duchy situated along the kingdom's major rivers, fostering trade and serving as a vital transportation hub.   Greenwood: A duchy covered in ancient forests and inhabited by diverse creatures, known for its deep reverence for nature and druidic traditions.   Haranshire: Thalendyr's newest and most remote duchy, reclaimed from orcish and bugbear invaders a century ago, it boasts vast untamed wilderness and resilient communities.
