Savorya

Savorya is the most esoteric and scholarly of the convocations. It is the magic of mind, spirit, and divination. Savoryan mages deal with intelligence, meaning, knowledge, secrets, and psionics. They believe their convocation is the most important of Pvaric wheel because knowledge is the most powerful of weapons.

Savoryan foci include inkpots, quills, runestones, scrolls, and tarot cards. Their foci cannot include metal, but paintings drawings or embroidered tapestries are all acceptable foci.

Savoryan spells are difficult to cast when dealing with elements of their polar Pvaric opposite the Jmorvi convocation.

Written Works

Many Savoryan spells deal with written matter. The condition of the written work can be affected by the condition of the item.

Rigged

If a written work is "Rigged", such as cursed, encoded, trapped or encoded, the GameMaser divulges only the works apparent condition. Casting a Savoryan spell on a Rigged work can cause an automatic misfire.

    Savoryan Self-Enhanchantments

Misfires with Savoryan self-enchantments are particularly dangerous. Tampering with a mind that is itself involved in spellcasting tends to promote the wildest form failures. Of course, Savoryan spells can also produce some interesting misfires for an antagonist who is engaged in spellcasting.
