  Just to be clear, there are monsters and demons and creatures and things that live in darkness, that live in the Night. The average person doesn't believe that, the average person won't believe that. And this makes them vulnerable and easy prey. You can't fight against something that you don't believe in, even if it's ripping out your throat.
  But there are those who can look unflinchingly into the Night and see what dwells there. The Quellian Order has existed for centuries, studying and cataloging evil in all its forms. It is their Unseeing Shield that stands between normal society and everything it fears and refuses to believe in. These men and women are survivors who not only stand against darkness, but have vowed to eradicate it entirely. They are the ones who protect the Unseeing from the Unending Night, a time when the world will be forever plunged into an endless night and fed upon the evil that lives there...
