Welcome to Haven
The Truths of Haven
Haven is by design a world with many unknowns, but the following we know to be true:
- Two moons orbit Haven, Luna, with a 28 day cycle, and Celene, with a 91 day cycle, from Haven they appear to have the same size, Luna being more of a silverish white and Celene of an aquamarine hue;
- The Pantheons of Haven will use the Deities of Greyhawk and Nonhuman Deities Pantheons found in the Appendix B of the PHB. Those are the most common faiths, but another exists, known as The Old Faith, managed by druidic orders, being primarily concerned with the cycles of nature: life, death, and rebirth;
- The Calendar from Greyhawk will also be used; The year consists of 364 days, split into twelve months of twenty-eight days each, and four seven-day festivals, each placed at three-month intervals;
- Winterhaven is a small medieval like village living in peace and away from great civilizations, for the first campaign, players will start and meet here, either being born and raised in this settlement or passing by from somewhere nearby;
- Multiple Nomad tribes roam the world of Haven, each with their own history and culture;
- Players are invited to populate the world with more features, the more abstract you leave it the easier it will be to integrate into the story at a later point.
- At the moment the only geographical features near Winterhaven are:
- East -- Etched woods
- North -- Misty Mountains of Almarach
- West -- Everwarm Lake and small phishing village of Yondar
- South -- Rolling Hills and the ruins of Millas'Duir
