Dragoona Ashlar

The Dragoona Ahslar is a magical artifact that is shrouded in religious myth held closely by the Dragoona faithful among the long-ear humans of Asylum City. Most believe the artifact is made by infallible gods, but is actually created by a bunch of magical glory hungry rats.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Dragoona Ashlar must be put into what is essentially a large portal generating structure, which is often a floating ring-like structure. After the structure is powered, either by the stone itself or by outer sources, the stone sends out a pulse to push back organics from the portal generator and briefly opens a portal to its creator's ship. Through this portal, it plants the coordinates for the planet it is one within the navigational systems of the ship so that either cleaning or destruction can begin.

History

The Dragoona Ashlar was created as a way for the Dragoona to keep tabs on the various planets they were worshipped on. At first, they were used as beacons for the Dragoona to occassionally check on the planet. However, as the Dragoona Empire grew, the use of these artifacts became more morbid. Dragoona would teach their faithful to use the stones only when the planet they inhabited was in trouble. The Dragoona did not tell their faithful what it would ultimately lead to, which is where religious myth began to bloom.   The Dragoona eventually only used the call created by joining a portal device to the stone as a way to mark planets for either cleansing of inhabitants or for destruction, where the Dragoona would use the materials left behind by the shattered planet as a way to power their magic and their ships.
