Tempestuous Fields

A strange place to the west of the Red King’s Keep. It is a field where storms gather and it seems to be a collision area of multiple winds and strange phenomena. It is a place where very few mortals live and drakkens seldom venture because of the dangers it poses even to them. It is stormy almost all of the time there and the storms are not natural.
Beyond the Tempestuous Field is the Fringe, the area that is very unknown. No one knows what lies there and the Tempestuous Field is enough to make even drakkens wary of wandering there.

Geography

The terrain in the Tempestuous Fields is rough and dangerous. The area is flat with odd rock formations giving occasional cover. The ground is muddy, slippery, and sandy on places.

Localized Phenomena

There are moving storms in the Tempestuous Fields and they travel the mostly same paths around and around. These storms are oddly human shaped but dozens of meters tall and transform the environment around them.  Tempestuous Fields also attracts storms from all around Haveria towards it, causing everywhere else in Haveria to be rather dry. No one knows what attracts the storms and why they have gotten semi-sentient.  There are also these pockets of strange climate, called the Stilllands by the natives.

Climate

Tempestuous fields is always chill and it rains constantly. The rain hasn't ceased in the known history and no one understands how it is possible that the place is always clouded. There are storms gathering in the Tempestuous Fields and some of these storms travel the same path within the Fields. These storms are not normal and they affect the environment around them, for short periods at the time.

Fauna & Flora

There is not much growing in the Tempestuous Fields. In the south-east corner of the Fields there is a small forest that seems to be new and grown in a strange, unnatural way. It isn't supported by the climate but still it thrives. Still, with the minimal vegetation there are some animals living within the Tempestuous Fields. Most recognizable species is the Lightning Mammoth, a strange species that seem to be electrically charged.

Natural Resources

The storms cause rocks to be charged with lightning that can be used in many things but there aren't many who know how to utilize it.
