Société de Le Havre

Le Havre is a heavily industrialized city, dominated by the Société de Le Havre, the oldest and biggest of the Grandes Entreprises, the Trading House's dominance of the city is such that one cannot speak of one without thinking of the other. It owes its wealth to a number of factors, a well developed and visited harbour, closeness to Britain and a well developed petrochemical industry. Le Havre excels in producing modern fuels and chemicals of all kinds, most of which find use in the Trading House's main industrial focus, agriculture.
