What you get: line-by-line, word-by-word editing and/or proofreading by an actual person with a solid understanding of English grammar and syntax.

Pricing is based on the wordcount of your document.

Final Edits (Recommended)

Proofreading plus line editing
Price: $0.010 USD per word ($10 per 1000 words)
I will check for word choice, conciseness, consistency, and clarity, while respecting your personal writing style. I will also point out excessive use of passive voice.

This is not beta reading, and at this time, I do not offer developmental edits. This is intended to be a final edit after content, plot, and pacing have already been established. This also does not include fact-checking nor formatting.

Proofreading Only

Price: $0.008 USD per word ($8 per 1000 words)
This only includes corrections for spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

A note on pricing: these rates are competitive and are priced as such because proofreading requires looking at each word, and even each character one-by-one. Line editing requires this plus consideration of how to improve each sentence.

Requesting Services

Editing services are payable through either PayPal or Ko-Fi. Please reach out to me first so we can discuss your project and I can create an personalized quote. Alternatively, you can fill out this form to request a quote.

• For projects 10,000 words or fewer, full payment must be received before work will begin.
• For longer projects, at least half must be paid up front.

I cannot accept cancellations once work has been started.

Personal Qualifications

With over 5 years of experience in transcript QA and proofreading, I routinely ensure documents are 99% accurate. Why not 100% perfect? Well, because that's impossible.
I also have experience writing and editing laboratory documents, such as Standard Operating Procedures, and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Biochemistry.

Questions

What file types do you work with?

• Microsoft Word (preferred) - you will receive the original document with Track Changes enabled. This will allow you to see all revisions, and approve them if desired. You will also recieve a final copy with all changes applied.
• I can also work in Google Docs.

Turnaround Time

Commissions will be completed in the order they are received. Most commissions will be completed within 14 days, but larger orders may take longer. A full-length novel may require up to 3 weeks, depending on length, your position in the queue, and other factors.

Why Ko-Fi?

Ko-Fi takes no fee for monetary donations and only 5% on commissions for free accounts. With a gold account, that commission fee drops to 0%. These fees are much cheaper than most other sites, allowing me to pass savings onto you.
