Black Hodag
Basic Information
Anatomy
resembles a large badger or wolverine. 3ft at the shoulder when quadrupedal and 5ft when standing upright. Coat ranges from dark brown to black, with tan speckles. starting at the ears and blanketing themselves across its back are numerous ridged spiny hairs. the purpose of these is to collect debris and foliage as it prowls the underbrush.
Genetics and Reproduction
Hodag are mamals and gestate for 11 months, having 2 pups. its not uncommon for one to die or be eaten by the other.
Growth Rate & Stages
It takes 1 year for a Hodag to reach independence, another few months for sexual maturity.
Ecology and Habitats
Hodag reside in marshlands and temperate forests, taking role as top of the food chain. similar to crocodiles they will often become too successful and die from lack of prey.

A hodag will eat anything it can get its hands on, from deer to pets to other hodag if necessary.
Biological Cycle
Hodag tend to hybernate in the winter though its not uncommon for one to stay active if food is available.
