Troll
I'm taking the rest of the afternoon off. Robert's laptop is on the fritz again and I don't wanna be here when the trolls come out of their cave to look at it.

ll members of
Hegemony International's information technology group are referred to collectively as "trolls". They are universally reviled throughout the corporation and are often viewed as smarmy, unkempt, awkward, and downright repulsive.
Perception
Social Status
T
rolls are widely viewed throughout the corporation as being loathesome and surly. This impression often has no basis in reality. But that does nothing to improve their general standing within Hegemony. It's not uncommon to hear other employees talking about trolls as though they are hideous monsters with no redeeming social qualities.
Operations
Workplace
N
early all trolls work in the compucombs. Unlike HERs and M&Ms and gnomes, they don't live in the compucombs. But most of the hardware for which they're responsible resides at the subterranean level and their offices are typically stationed in the compucombs.
Provided Services
A
lmost everyone who would be considered to be part of information technology is classified as a "troll". This means that their ranks can be quite sizable. They encompass programmers, network engineers, tech support, and many other disciplines. The major exception to this is the moles. Although many moles specialize in computer technology, they are never referred to as "trolls" and they are seen in an entirely different light.
