Wícscéawere (Wick-skay-uh-wear)
Wícscéawere (Achiad: Provider of a Home) is the family sword of House Talmache. It is traditionally wielded by the Lord of Glydair Hall, although the sword is currently in the possession of the heir to Glydair Hall, Sir Parlan Talmache.
History
The origins of Wícscéawere are unknown. It is similar in design to Ulnosti blades produced during the first half of the 4th Century AU. At some point in 372 AU, the sword was in the posession of one Wilmot de Seacourt, leader of an Ulnosti theatrical troupe known as the Lords of Folly. The troupe was passing through the Autumnvale on their way to Bergeaux when they stopped to perform a series of plays in Wythemore. In attendance at one of these performances was 29-year-old Osbern of Wythemore, a penniless merchant who had returned to his birthplace to hawk cheap baubles and trinkets in the city streets. The sword was used as a prop by de Seacourt during the show, and later in the evening Osbern approached the troupe leader as he was drinking and revelling with the other actors in the fields outside the city walls.
