Ehrenberg

The second largest city on the lower Colorado River, after Yuma, Ehrenberg is a major hub for the mining operations in the northwest region of Hell's Furnace. Well-served by the steamboats of the George A. Johnson Company, the landing is equipped to make loading and unloading cargo fast and efficient.   Ehrenberg has siphoned off many of the stores from nearby La Paz and boasts three saloons and two brothels. Although the county seat has moved to Yuma, the sheriff keeps an office and jail in Ehrenberg, as that is where most of his business can be found.
