Wickenburg

Wickenburg was founded in 1863 by Henry Wickenburg to support gold mining operations in the area. For the next decade, the town was frequently raided by the Yavapai warriors who roamed the area. These attacks claimed hundreds of settlers and natives alike and has culminated in the Yavapai War.   Wickenburg has begun to recover and of course, the first businesses to appear are those best suited for keeping miners in operation and then relieving those miners of their hard-won gold. Despite the limited population, Wickenburg currently boasts three saloons, two brothels, and two stores selling mining equipment.
