Eienara (Eye - NARA)
The Eienara are a group of people that live in the northern region of Thorane, one of the continents of Thorane. They were given the name 'Serins' meaning troublesome by the Grey Army when the Grey Empire first started to invade the region. The Eienara gave their land the name the Eieken Land, meaning lonely land, and the Grey Army dubbed it Serilor.
The Ulvafa are a religiously motivated group of Eienara, divided up into schools, in which they learn different kinds of fighting technique. Ulvafa means wolves, and the Grey Army showed horrifying brutality to the Ulvafa during the invasion of the Eieken Land. This brutality is still shown, as Ulvafa are captured and forced into fighting rings, where they are drugged with high doses of Blodeisarg, a potion created by the Ulvafa to trigger a beserk state used by some schools called a blood rage.

Family names
Family names are passed down through the mother, and are not changed after a handfasting ceremony. The names tend to follow a pattern of a deed that family has accomplished, for example Tunsalvari, meaning 'Moon gazer'.

Common Myths and Legends
The most famous myth amongst the Eienara is the Moon Song. The Moon Song is a sound that all Eienara hear when they die, thought to be the sound of a warrior Thyrell, singing a beautiful melody to guide their soul into the sky, where they live their afterlife. The Northern Lights are thought to be a dance of all the souls in the sky as they welcome somebody deserving.
Eienara share a religion. They have no name for it, but the Grey Empire call it 'Harvar', which means something like unknown pantheon. They have many gods, all of which live in the wilds of the Eieken Land, especially in the Ring of Stars, a circle of islands at the very top of the Eieken Land. All of the gods take the form of spirits, which look like ghostly animals. The leader god takes the form of a she-wolf, named Ulfa.
