Boradessel Duchies
A dreary land of fog, forest and and steep hill and ravine. The Boradessel Duchies are a collection of allied Duchies, baronies and other noble houses on the far southwest of the continent of Keskad. The region as a whole is known as the Boradessel Forest and it is a thick forest set on craggy foothills. Darkness lurks within its shadowy boughs.
Even with the mysteries and darkness, humanity grew and thrived there. In larger cities one can find that the darkness of the land seems to be driven away but as you drift further from civilization the dwellings grow more mean...the windows sprout bars and heavy locks with houses circling the town squares in concentric walls like they are huddling with their backs to the forest.
The Duchies
Meinherm Puldborn Steinz Kassen Ausruhe Ruzgart Tenisva The northernmost Duchy it is a harsh land of mountain passes choked with thick fir and isolated farmsteads. It was the most damaged by the Troll Wars and it is a shell of its former self. Before the wars it had a thriving mining and lumber industry but even 50 years later it has barely a quarter of its previous output in material goods. Dagswik Inklau Badenmund Hradleberg Regstadt Libsurg A mountainous Duchy in the South-Western part of the Boradessel Duchies, it is bordered by the River Reg on its North-Western border and the Ocean to its South-West. Kobheim Boralstrat Hraflem Geslemarn Gresseldorf Long abandoned, the Town of Gresseldorf at its heart was the progenitor of a dire plague. The cause of it was never found but it is widely assumed to be a curse. It strayed not across the borders and even those who had ever lived or stepped foot in the barony were struck down, no matter where they lay or what distance they were from the Barony. Very few ever go there anymore, for years afterwards anyone that would stray into the Barony would die horrible deaths. Jaglefrem A heavily forested Duchy that sprawls across both sides of the Splitwillow River, bordered by Inklau to the northwest, Gresseldorf to the north, Geslemarn and Hraflem to the east, Kobheim and Libsurg to the south and Badenmund to the west. Its primary exports are Lumber.
