Gnoll
A primitive, often brutal race of Hyena humanoids they are feared by many due to the members of the species that have fallen to the predations of the "Dark Father" Yeenoghu.
The uncorrupted Gnolls are wronged by this, though primitive and savage they are a pure hearted race who shows unwavering dedication to their pack and to nature, taking up guardianship of the wilds where there are no other protectors. They form close knit family groups around a Matriarch who dictates where the pack hunts, where they camp and who mates within the pack.
Gnolls rarely make permanent settlements, instead living in makeshift camps at the direction of their Matriarch. Their range is enormous, covering the Horned Jungle, Ice Spire Mountains, Tall Horn Mountains and the Veshk Desert.
They will often travel hundreds of miles in their nomadic lifestyle, prioritizing meeting other Gnoll packs to fight, mate and spread news.
Their dedication to their pack and the fear of outsiders make adventurers relatively rare among them but there are times where a Matriarch will send a Gnoll out for various reasons. Exile happens but is rare due to the fear that the exiled Gnoll will seek the embrace of the Dark Father.
Gnolls are brutal hunters with a demonic ancestry who are fiercely loyal to their pack.
