Hantlvar

A small stronghold that is one of nearly a dozen that guard entrances to their progenitor dragons' main lair. A very close community, though they are insulated from the rest of the Howling Fjords by choice but they have absorbed much of the culture surrounding them.
The stronghold is molded out of stone, much of it hidden below the earth in a series of warrens and communal rooms with various fungal farms and underground paths to hidden dales where they keep sheep and cattle for both themselves and for their progenitor dragon. The strongholds were carved out centuries ago by their progenitor before he created the clans who inhabit them so any growth requires either a powerful spellcaster of their own to be born, which is relatively rare or for the dragon itself to come and aid them. The exterior entrance is a single large door at bottom of a cliff in a deep valley. A tall tower is build into the top of the cliff hundreds of meters above and is always manned by watchers, though the stronghold has never been attacked.
They live a relatively simple life of pastoral duties and defense.
The dragon who created them and the strongholds is a reclusive Topaz dragon called Kalintastraz.
