Kaga
Common Lore
The Triton god of the Tides, Crops and Hunting is depicted most commonly as a large golem made of coral in the vague shape of a Triton, though much bulkier with strands of kelp floating around and snagged against its form.
Kaga is an impersonal, distant god. Rituals to him are hunts where part of the kill is then draped on coral reefs and his shrines are wonderous gardens of coral buried deeply in kelp forests where portions of every kill and harvest are arrayed.
Druids are the most common worshipers of Kaga, hunters and those that live on the outskirts of Triton Cities often give reverence while the more urban Triton do not commonly worship him. Even with that, every city will have a large shrine or temple to Kaga as his influence over their lives are well understood.
Uncommon Lore
Kaga barely registers the Triton on the grand scheme of things, it answers prayers and considers the actions the Triton take on the world but it ultimately weighs on the side of the natural world.
In many ways the Triton venerate him because they understand inherently that they live where they do at his discretion and like a slowly stirring whale scraping barnacles off of its flesh, so Kaga could slowly scrape their civilization from the sea floor. Not a worship of fear but one of understanding the inherent nature of the ocean.
Rarely known or Heard Lore
This god is, at its heart, an unbelievably ancient primordial from the Sphere of Water that is heavily influenced by the Sphere of Earth. It shares its roots with Jorun Giantbonethe dwarven god of the sea.
